The Future
We have crossed a significant milestone in 2017/18 with a 30 year presence in Germany laying down firm foundations on the energy map of Northern Germany. Despite the many challenges ahead, in various aspects of our business the future looks promising since we are relying on assets with profit generating potential managed by people with deep understanding of the industry while at the same time exploring new ways of ensuring the continuity through sustainable investments.
A major challenge we are faced is the new regulation by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to enforce a new 0.5% global sulphur cap on fuel content from 1 January 2020, lowering from the present 3.5% limit.
The successful production tests carried out provide confidence that the new specification will be produced.
